Let’s look through our case folders to review our cases so far. you review. Allow kids to discuss what they remember from these previous weeks. • How do we know if the Bible is trustworthy? Who remembers how we solved that case? We know the Bible is Trustworthy because God wrote it. • We solved How do we know that Jesus is the one that God promised? Who remembers our evidence? • Week 3, we solved the case What Did God say about Jesus? How did we solve that case? God • Week 4, we solved the question What did others say about Jesus? How did we solve that case? • Week 5, we solved the case, How do I respond to people who disagree with me? Be Prepared to Give an Answer with Gentleness and Respect. • Week 6, we solved Do you remember how we solved that case? Jesus said He is the Today, We are going to play Fact or Fake We will take turns putting on a blindfold. We will also take turns being the teller. When it’s your turn to be the teller, you will give the blindfolded detective an object. You will tell him or her what they are holding. The blindfolded detective will tell the teller if what he said is fact or fake and why. For example, pretend I am blindfolded and the teller gives me a candy cane. He tells me “You are holding a bunny.” I would say “that is fake. I know that bunnies are soft and warm. I am holding something hard and it smells like Christmas. I know that I am holding a candy cane.” Do you understand Fact or Fake? Let’s play. Give one child a blindfold and help him put it over his eyes. Give another kid an item from your box. Don’t let the other kids see the items. Whisper to the teller: Give this _____ to the blindfolded detective. Tell him it is a _______. Ask him, ‘Is that fact or fake?” How do you know? See the chart below: (Allow the kids to take turns being the blindfolded one and the teller. Be sure to have the blindfolded one explain why they made their decision - fact or fake.) Item: pencil paper clip rubber band bead ping pong ball baby candy cane canned food colored pencil cotton ball feather

worm safety pin spaghetti noodle bead meatball gum baby food colored pencil piece of felt feather

We are going to read 7 scriptures that will be our evidence. Open your These stories are all in order. I will read a scripture to you, and you’ll analyze it and answer some detective questions. After we read the passage, help me answer “Who saw Jesus”, “Where did they see Him?”, “How did they know it was really Jesus?” and “What did they do as they spent time with Jesus?” Write these answers on the timeline in order. Lead Detective note: The answers are below. Read the story from the back of evidence card 1. You can read to the kids in your group, or you can let the kids read. Just be sure to have them read loudly enough that all the kids can hear and engage in the conversation. You will
