FLOWERS ON THE ALTAR The flowers on the altar are given in honor, glory and memory of Henry Hanson, father of Jim Hanson, by his family. THE PROBLEM OF PAIN BIBLE STUDY A four-week study group led by Quentin Rhoades will begin meeting on Thursday, October 19, 2017, to consider C.S. Lewis’s, The Problem of Pain. The group will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the First Lutheran Conference Room. Feel free to contact the office if you have any questions. LIFELIGHT BIBLE STUDIES CONTINUE Our fall Lifelight Bible Studies will continue to study the Gospel of Matthew. The Tuesday class meets at 9:30 a.m. in the Library. The Thursday class meets at 7:00 p.m. in the Library. Everyone is welcome to join us! WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDY Our Women’s Bible Study “It’s a Chocolate Life” will continue to meet on Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m. at church. All women are still encouraged to join us for this study that runs through November 16th. KIDS FOR CHRIST (KFC) We are beginning a group for our middle school youth, grades 6th-8th. Their first monthly meeting will be held this Wednesday, October 11th, in the Fellowship Hall/Kitchen from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. We plan to bake cookies and have some other fun activities and games. Hope to see you there! LWML Remember our general meeting this Tuesday, October 10, at 7:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Remember, it's time to pay $15.00 annual membership dues. We hope to see you there. HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH MEETINGS Our High School Youth are continuing to meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. here at church. We have a time for a brief devotion and fellowship. We encourage all of our high school youth to join us on Wednesday evenings! THANK YOU FROM THE QUILTING LADIES The Quilting ladies would like to thank all the people who donated fabric, sheets and a gift card of $50.00. A private member also donated an “Action Team Grant” of $250.00. The Lord has truly blessed us this year! Thank you again! --The Quilters

Also, Pastor Peterson, of Salmon, ID, will be our guest preacher, and he will be leading Bible class. GIVING SOMBRERO As you know, a group from our congregation will be heading down to Imuris and Benjamin Hill, Mexico on October 17th. If you would like to contribute to the gifts they will be bringing, you may stop by the table in the Narthex with the Giving Sombrero and pick an envelope to fill! Thank you very much for all of your support! LWML NEWS We are getting ready for 2018. Dues are $15.00, same as last year, which covers your Missive, Quarterly and delegate fees. Brookdale Assisted Living is looking for someone who knows how to do leather tooling (making wallets, purses, etc.) to share their talent with the residents there.
