The Thiel College cheerleading squad supports the athletic teams at the college by creating an enthusiastic environment and promoting school spirit. A Thiel College cheerleader is a representative of the college and should display a positive and courteous manner at all times. The cheer program is under the athletic department and is managed by the Head Cheer & Dance Coach, Amber Kimmel. Auditions Auditions for the Thiel College cheerleading team will be conducted on Saturday, April 29, 2017 in the Beeghly Gymnasium. From 9:00 AM – Noon, individuals trying out will be learning material during this time. Beginning at 1:00 PM, tryouts will begin in which the information taught can be performed. You will be evaluated based on the following: (1) how much POTENTIAL you have to become a collegiate cheerleader and (2) how you can contribute to the team as a whole. Results will be given to the participant after tryouts has concluded. Once tryouts are concluded, a meeting for those who made the team will take place. Basic Requirements:        

Incoming freshman ARE eligible to try out. Incoming freshman MUST have a letter of recommendation from a previous coach Transfer students with a minimum GPA of 2.0 are eligible to try out. Current Thiel College students must be enrolled full-time (12 hours) to be eligible to try out. Tryout packet must be submitted at the time of auditions with a $25 fee. Ability to remember cheers and chants Ability to perform various stunting abilities/techniques Ability to perform jumps as required
