Location

Description

Town Planning

The site is well located within close proximity to Derby Road as well as the Ring Road (A52), providing efficient access to a number of surrounding suburbs including Nottingham (situated approximately 3.5 miles north east), Derby (approximately 12 miles west), Castle Donnington (approximately 11 miles south west) and the M1 Motorway (approximately 4.5 miles west).

The development parcels are of a fairly regular shape and located either side of Old Drive. The Lodge is located to the north and 1 & 3 Old Drive (bungalows) are located to the south.

Full planning permission (reference 15/00728/FUL) was granted on 15 January 2016 by Broxtowe Borough Council to construct an extension and extend the garden of The Lodge including the construction of a detached garage, as well as the demolition of two bungalows and the creation of three family houses with garages and associated works.

This development opportunity is situated on Old Drive, just off Wollaton Road, within the tree lined grounds of Beeston Fields Golf Club. The site is directly accessed via Wollaton Road and is within 1 mile of Beeston town centre and within approximately 2 miles of Bramcote Lane shops. Waitrose supermarket is within approximately 2.5 miles and Wollaton Hall and Wollaton Park are approximately 2 miles from the site.

The site extends to approximately 0.3 Ha (0.75 acres) in total and is situated at the entrance to Beeston Fields Golf Club, on the corner of Wollaton Road and Old Drive. The immediate environment comprises residential properties to the east and principally lawns to the north and south, as well as the tree lined road leading to the 18 hole golf course and clubhouse to the west.

Beeston Fields Golf Club The club was established in 1923, and within the grounds of the golf club is a walled garden, restaurant, entertainment facilities and clubhouse, which dates back to 1837. More details can be found at www.beestonfields.co.uk

Details of the applications can be obtained from Broxtowe Borough Council website; www.broxtowe.gov.uk or from the Agent upon request.
