A few words about FHSU Volleyball . . . For the past several years, in order to promote our very own Tiger Volleyball team, we have developed an organization called the “Volleybackers.” It is the official Booster Club of the Fort Hays State University Volleyball Program. Its purpose is to find dedicated fans to help us contend for the Mid-America Intercollegiate Athletics Association and Central Region titles. The Tiger Volleybackers is designed to support the athletes of the Fort Hays State Volleyball Team in their endeavors to maintain a good balance between the court, classroom, and community. Through Volleybacker support we are able to promote the team with increased fan support, team competition apparel, meal funds, travel supplement expenses, locker room enhancements, and a community of educational support. We hope to boost the support even more for this season. The MIAA conference is extremely competitive and boasts some of the top teams in the nation. The Tigers plan to contend for a top position in the conference for years to come. Continued support from the Volleybackers greatly increases our team’s chance for success. Head Coach Kurt Kohler returns to lead a great group of athletes who are committed to building on the positive tradition that is Tiger Volleyball. We sincerely hope that you will be a part of the continued growth of the FHSU Volleyball Program. Come join the action as we compete in Gross Coliseum. Thank you for your support.
WHO ARE THE TIGER VOLLEYBACKERS? The Tiger Volleybackers are a group of individuals who have joined forces to support the coaching staff and the student athletes of the volleyball program in accomplishing their goals on and off the court. The purpose of this booster club is to give fans opportunities to support volleyball as well as to provide members with opportunities to meet the team and coaching staff at selected pregame and postgame functions. Proceeds from the Volleybackers are used to supplement the program’s budget for capital improvements.
