In the Name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen. Foundations For Christian Life (FCL) attempts to assist the Holy Spirit’s nurturing of you in three ways: o Offering some basic knowledge of the Bible, the Prayer Book, and Tradition (Know the Way of Christ) o Equipping you in some forms of prayer, ministry, and daily Christian life (Do the Way of Christ) o Promoting some deeper self-knowledge, to love God, our neighbor, and ourselves. (Be the Way of Christ) FCL is set up in units of five weeks each. People preparing for baptism are called to complete all units over the course of forty weeks. And, if you’re interested in one part of the Bible and our life as disciples in the world, or you want to get into a particular prayer practice, come take part in only one or two units. But this is only the beginning!!!.......... Here is what you will need for your Foundations for Christian Life experience: A Bible—any translation will do, except paraphrases like the Living Bible.
