“When you become entitled to exercise the right of voting for public officers, let it be impressed on your mind that God commands you to choose for rulers, ‘just [righteous] men who will rule in the fear of God.’ The preservation of government depends on the faithful discharge of this Duty; if the citizens neglect their Duty and place unprincipled men in office,

the government will soon be corrupted; laws will be made, not for the public good so much as for selfish or local purposes; corrupt or incompetent men will be appointed to execute the Laws; the public revenues will be squandered on unworthy men; and the rights of the citizen will be violated or disregarded. If government fails to secure public prosperity and happiness, it must be because the citizens neglect the Divine Commands, and elect bad men to make and administer the Laws.” Noah Webster, “the Schoolmaster of the Republic”
“Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is their duty – as well as privilege and interest – of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.” John Jay, First Supreme Court Chief Justice

Four Biblical Keys to Voting
Key Number One Rules in the fear of God “Fears and acknowledges God” Understand: God Controls the Economy, Not a Person or the Government Do you want a prospering economy, strong families, freedom and national security? The Holy Bible and our Founding Fathers teach that these blessings are the fruit of the USA obeying God – (Deuteronomy 28) Part of obeying God is choosing God fearing leaders ‐ (Galatians 6:7, Leviticus 26, 2 Chronicles 7:13‐14).
Jesus Christ “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things (economy) shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:33 Jesus also tells us that it is the non‐believer who seeks after the economy and material possessions, but doesn’t seek God (Matthew 6:31‐33).

Our Founding Fathers built the USA on the foundation of the Holy Bible knowing: “Righteousness exalts a nation but sin is the reproach of any people.” Proverbs 14:34 “… recognize the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.” Abraham Lincoln
To rule in the Fear of God is to uphold the Laws of God
James Madison: “ We’ve staked our future on our ability to follow the Ten Commandments with all of our heart. We have staked the whole future of American civilization, not upon the power of government, far from it. We’ve staked the future of all our political institutions upon our capacity…to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.”

John Hancock: “We Recognize No Sovereign but God, and no King but Jesus!”
Benjamin Franklin: “ God governs in the affairs of man. And if a sparrow cannot fall to the ground without his notice, is it probable that an empire can rise without His aid? We have been assured in the Sacred Writings that except the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it. I firmly believe this. I also believe that, without His concurring aid, we shall succeed in this political building no better than the builders of Babel”

"The moral principles and precepts contained in the scriptures ought to form the basis of all our civil constitutions and laws. All the miseries and evils which men suffer from vice, crime, ambition, injustice, oppression, slavery, and war, proceed from their despising or neglecting the precepts contained in the Bible."
The Founding Fathers got most of their ideas about government from people such as William Blackstone, who got most of their ideas from the Bible.
In 1844, the U.S. Supreme Court studied the subject of the nation’s spiritual roots and concluded, "Our laws and our institutions must necessarily be based on and must embody the teachings of the Redeemer of mankind." The Court cited 87 different historical and legal precedents from the Founding Fathers, the Congresses and the state governments.
