TRELLIS QUILT F E A T U R I N G BIRD’S EYE VIEW B Y SARAH WATSON ½ yard each: Doo Bee Doo Bee Doo [White & Black], Foliage [Orange] 1/ yards of each: The Bare Necessities, Tapestried [Navy, Orange & Green], Foliage [Green & Black], 3 Birds of a Feather ½ yard of each: Cirrus Solids Ash, Grass & Turquoise ¾ yard Cirrus Solids Midnight ½ yard Foliage [Black] for Binding 3½ yards Cirrus Solids Turquoise for Backing Note: All possible care has been taken to assure the accuracy of this pattern. If desired, wash and iron your fabrics before starting to cut.

From Foliage [Green & Black], Tapestried [Orange & Green]: 20- 3½" squares
From Turquoise: 96- 2" squares
From The Bare Necessities, Tapestried [Navy], Birds of a Feather: 24- 3½" squares
From Ash: 120- 2" squares
From Doo Bee Doo Bee Doo [Black]: 28- 3½" squares
From Grass: 128- 2" squares
From Foliage [Orange]: 32- 3½" squares
From Midnight: 160- 2" squares
ASSEMBLY DIRECTIONS This quilt is made from 63 repeated blocks of different fabrics. Please note directional fabric when piecing the blocks. BLOCK ASSEMBLY 1. Mark a diagonal line from upper left corner to lower right corner on the wrong side of all 2" squares. [fig 1] 2. Arrange sets of four - 3½" squares of the same fabric and eight - 2" squares of a Cirrus Solids fabric in the following combinations: •

3. Lay four 3½" squares of the same fabric in a four patch. Place a 2" square RST (right sides together) in the corners noting the direction of the diagonal line. [fig 2] 4. Sew on the diagonal line, trim seam allowances ¼". Press in the direction of the arrows. [fig 3] 5. Sew the four patch together. [fig 4] Make 63 blocks. ASSEMBLING THE QUILT 8. Refer to the QUILT DIAGRAM for color placement and arrange the blocks in nine horizontal rows of seven blocks each. Sew the blocks together in rows, pressing seam allowances in alternating directions from row to row. Sew the rows together to complete quilt top. 9. Layer the quilt top, batting, and backing. Baste, quilt as desired, and bind.
