MID‐WINTER CONF SERVICE PROJECT Collect these items and bring to the conference on Feb. 7th POP TABS Collecting pop tabs is a great way to teach kids about philanthropy and the importance of recycling, and raise funds to help children and their families at the same time. Some of our Chapters raise thousands of dollars with their pop tab collections. Your donation of pop tabs will benefit the local Ronald McDonald House Charities. Why? Ronald McDonald Houses collect pop tabs instead of entire aluminum cans because it's more hygienic to store tabs than cans, and collection and storage is easier. The program is an easy way for people of all ages to support RMHC and know they are making a difference for families and children. How much? After the tabs are collected, the local RMHC Chapter brings the collection to local recycling centers, where they are weighed to determine their value (values can vary significantly). The recycling center then sends the local RMHC Chapter a check for the total value.
TOILETRIES
Attention, traveling Kiwanians…here is a chance to help those in need! Anytime you visit a hotel, please don’t leave the extra new soaps, conditioners and shampoos behind, collect them and bring them to this year’s Mid‐Winter Conference. Benefiting local area shelters.
