13th October 2015 To all Parents/Carers The ‘Friends’ have supported pupils and families for many years, successfully raising funds towards school activities and events. Now that we are a Primary School, the Friends of Central First School and the Friends of Hirst Park Middle School are merging to become the Friends of Central Primary School. The inaugural AGM of this amalgamated group will take place on Tuesday 10th November 2015 at 9.30am in our Upper Site situated on Third Avenue. You may not realise, but as a parent, as soon as your child joins Central Primary School you automatically become a member of our Parent Teacher Association – The ‘Friends of Central Primary School’. The ‘Friends’ organise events throughout the year and have monthly meetings on both the Lower and Upper Sites. If you would like to attend one of these meetings or have a new fundraising idea, please do talk to us or complete the slip below. We understand that not everyone wants to be involved in organising events but the ‘Friends’ do require your support; this could be helping out at an event or working behind the scenes by baking cakes etc. Thank you for your continued support. PTA AGM Agenda The purpose of the meeting is to: 1) Approve a constitution 2) Elect the committee members, Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Vice Treasurer, Secretary and Vice Secretary to hold office until the next AGM. 2) Appoint an independent examiner for the PTA accounts. 3) Discuss up and coming events for the term/year. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
