Friends of the Chicago River Chicago River Student Congress 2014 Welcome Chicago River Student Congress Participants! Here are some instructions to help your day go smoothly. Once you arrive you will receive a folder with all the information you will need for the day.
Getting There: Driving Curie High School is on the southeast corner of Pulaski & Archer. It is 1.5 miles south of the Pulaski exit off of the Stevenson Expressway (I-55).
When: Saturday, February 22, 2014 8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. Where: Curie Metro High School 4959 South Archer Ave.
Getting There: Train Curie High School is near the Pulaski stop on the CTA Orange Line (marked T on the map). Upon exiting the station, walk east to Pulaski and north to Archer to get to the school entrance.

Parking for the Student Congress:
Main Doors

All parking for the Student Congress is in the northeast parking lot off of Archer Ave. (marked P on the map). This lot is also for display and workshop material drop-off.

There is an entrance on the east side of the school that should be open by 8:00 a.m. Please use this main entrance. Sign-in and registration are located just inside the doors. Opening and closing ceremonies will be in the auditorium in the east building (E). Workshops and displays will be on the 3rd floor of the west building (W) - (see the map on the reverse side of this sheet). The Sign-in and registration tables will be organized in categories of “Teachers,” “Students,” “Environmental Professionals” and “Guests.” Pick up the appropriate folder. The first page will explain EVERYTHING and should answer most of your questions! Teachers: be sure to tell your students to read this first page in their folder so that they know what’s going on. The schedule for the day is as follows: 8:00-9:00 Sign-in, Registration and Workshop & Display set-up 9:00-9:30 Opening ceremony, Teacher of the Year award 9:45-10:15 Workshop session 1 Displays may be visited 10:25-10:55 Workshop session 2 during this time as well. 11:05-11:35 Workshop session 3 11:45-12:30 Closing ceremony and t-shirt distribution

If you have a Workshop or Display: PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY SO THAT YOU ARE ABLE TO SET-UP EASILY!
