1 Chronicles 17:16
appy are those who hunger and thirst after true righteousness – they will be filled! Are you hungry for God? Do you thirst for His living water? Do you want His Holy Spirit to fill you?
Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said, “Who am I, O LORD God, and what is my family, that you have brought me thus far?”
If you are, I have good news for you from the Book of Isaiah, chapter 55, verses 1-3: “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to Me, and eat what is good, and you will delight in the richest of fare. Give ear and come to Me; listen, that you may live.”
Groanings which cannot be uttered are often prayers which cannot be refused.
Jeremiah 2:13 (NIV) says, "My people have committed two sins: They have forsaken Me, the spring of living water, and have dug their own cisterns, broken cisterns that cannot hold water.”
