My Scientology Movie Starring: Louis Theroux RATING: 15 WHAT’s It all about?

We’ve all heard the stories of creepy Scientologists chasing people down the streets in an effort to convert them to their controversial cult, but when the shoe’s on the other foot and it’s journo extraordinaire Louis Theroux doing the chasing, they’re not best pleased. Here, our hero attempts to get access to the notoriously private sect, but realising he’s not going to get close to the subjects in question (largely due to the fact they’re all completely mad), he starts to make a pretend movie about them in a bid to get their attention. As you do.

FILM

What’s good?

Thanks to his brilliant investigations and quirky approach to his subjects, Theroux has a cult status to rival Scientology itself, so it goes without saying he’s the standout star. His genius interviews and run-ins with the churchgoers are genuinely hilarious, if a little awkward to watch.

What’s bad?

Sadly, because most Scientologists are such bad sports, it’s frustrating how little access Louis is granted, so we’re left a tad unfulfilled. But he does his best, bless him, so we won’t be too hard on him.

Strictly Come Dancing Tour 2017 While we’re thrilled to tour have Strictly Come Dancing back on our TV screens, nothing beats seeing the sequins, glitz and glamour live. The good news is the show’s live tour is back and bigger than ever as it celebrates its tenth year on the road. With 2015 semi-finalist and Countryfile presenter Anita Rani as the brand new host, former pro dancer Karen Hardy joining judges Len Goodman and Craig Revel Horwood on the panel, and hopefully Ed Balls strutting his stuff – what more could you ask for? n Strictly goes back on the road in January 2017, and tickets are on sale now.

We’re particularly excited to try out Platform 15 – the park’s largest scare maze to date. new! has been lucky enough to be invited to the spooktacular (seriously, stop us) celeb-filled launch night – and we’re already quaking in our boots. And that’s not just because the cast of TOWIE are expected to be there. n FRIGHT NIGHTS begins on October 7 and runs through 7-9, 14-16, and 21-31 October EV
