and Repair
Opening Date: 7/21/2017 This Amendment
is issued to reflect the following change to the Bid opening date:
Extend Bid opening date from: 6/27/17 to: 7/21/17 Other Changes include: 1) Electronic Bids will not be accepted. Delete option one for 'Submitting Bids' on page 2 of the ITB. 2) In the Scope of Work starting on page 9 and the Checklist, assume that wherever there is a reference to Gas Engines that it includes all types of fuel ie: gas, diesel, etc. 3) In the Scope of Work, page 9,15 and the bid item list, Change "Monthly Load Test" to 'Monthly Building Outage Test'. On page 15, its description includes 'Test is to be performed with a 30 minute run and 5 minute cool down and according to NFPA 110'. 4) In the Scope of Work page 15, G Emergency Repair Service, Bidders need to ensure that a service team/vehicle is dispatched and on the road within 2 hours. The emergency situation needs to be stabilized within the 48 hours. It is sometimes not possible to have the parts and all service completed within 48 hours.
5) In the Scope of Work, page 16, I., change the wording to 'Replacement of Generator, ATS, fuel tank, and any other related parts/elements of Generator system.' 6) Page 22 in the section regarding mileage, Change 50 miles to 20 miles. Add the sentence: "Trip charges that are the result of the installer/repairer neglecting to bring the known needed materials/parts will not be allowed." 7) Page 22- add a paragraph: " If the replacement or repair is of sufficient travel length that it makes sense to stay in the area rather than incur mileage to return daily to the contractor's base site, then per diem charges are allowable for up to $85 per day per person. This would include lodging and meals. Receipts are not needed for invoicing. " 8) Page 22 - add paragraph: "Backup Portable Generators: The cost of fuel as needed for backup portable generators (or the existing generator) is an allowable expense under this contract. It will be added based on an estimated cost and invoiced on the exact cost. When a backup portable generator is brought in, the initial fuel will be provided. The cabling will also be provided. The exact length of the cabling will vary from project to project. The delivery fee is included in the bid rental amount but is based on the assumption that a local source for the portable generator is found. If the portable generator has to come from out of state or a long distance, there will be an add on allowed for those cases. The extra charge for a separate crane for setup will be estimated and invoiced at cost of crane rental. " 9) Page 23 in the Contractor's Warranty section, the One Year warranty shall apply to the labor, not necessarily materials. Add a sentence, "Materials warranties will follow the manufacturer's warranty period'.
10) Page 24, the Bid Evaluation listing is deleted and replaced with the attached list.
11) Bid Form- it is to be deleted and replaced with the attached bid form. All other items, terms and conditions shall remain the same.
