Fruit and Nut Oatmeal

U.S. 1 1/2 cups 3 cups 1/8 tsp 2 Tbsp 1/4 tsp 2 Tbsp 1 cup

Metric 133 g 710 mL 0.75 g 26 g 0.6 g 14 g Fruit (sliced strawberries, blueberries, banana, etc.) 166 g Quick Oats Milk, low-fat or Almond Milk, unsweetened Salt, Kosher Light Brown Sugar Cinnamon, ground Walnuts, rough chopped, toasted

Preparation: 1. Gather all ingredients and equipment. 2. Preheat a stainless steel skillet over medium-high heat. Then, add the oatmeal and toast for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently. 3. When oatmeal is golden brown in color, remove the pan from heat and add the milk. 4. Place the pan back on the stove over low-medium heat and add the salt, cinnamon and sugar. Cook for the oatmeal for about 5 minutes, stirring frequently, until most of liquid has evaporated. 5. If oatmeal is too thick, add 1-2 tbsp of additional of milk or water. 6. Top with toasted walnuts and serve 1 cup portions. Then, finish with fresh fruit and enjoy! Variation: You may use coconut, almond or soy milk as an alternative. Try different kinds of fruit and
