Fury Heat Spring Swing Rules GATE FEES There is a $4 Gate Fee at each of the park for anyone ages 17 and over. If you want access to both parks, please make sure to get your hand stamped. That will allow you into both parks without having to pay a second gate fee. 3 Coaches get in FREE each day. If you have more than 3 coaches, they will have to pay. PARKING There is parking available in both parks. There is also parking available at Whitewater Elementary which is located directly across the street from both parks and is in walking distance. I am asking ALL COACHES, on Saturday and Sunday to park at Whitewater Valley Elementary. You may drop your equipment off at the field and then park across the street in the school parking lot. This will help alleviate a lot of traffic. PARK ADDRESSES Melvin Lake Memorial Park – 10845 Campbell Rd., Harrison, OH 45030 MVP Sports Park – 10701 Campbell Rd., Harrison, OH 45030 _____________________________________________________________________________________ TOURNAMENT RULES All tournament play shall be governed by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) rules with the following EXCEPTIONS listed herein: ROSTER AND INSURANCE Each team is required to have proof of purchase of General Liability and Participant Accident coverage. The Official Roster and Proof of Insurance must be presented prior to the start of the team’s first tournament game. BIRTH CERTIFICATES Birth Certificates do not need to be turned in, but make sure you have them with you at all times throughout the tournament. If a player’s age is called into question, you must be able to present proof of age for that particular player(s). METAL CLEATS Metal cleats are NOT PERMITTED

The bat must be stamped 1.15BPF or USSSA 8U LEVEL RULE EXCEPTIONS No DROPPED 3rd Strike No stealing HOME SWOL Rules Apply PITCHING RULES 8U – No more than 6 innings for the tournament 9U-12U – No more than 7 innings for the tournament At ALL Levels All pitchers will receive an additional inning if their team plays in the Championship game. Pitchers are not allowed to pitch more than 3 innings in a game One pitch is considered one inning pitched FIELD DIMENSIONS 8U – 44’/60’ 9U/10U – 46’/65’ 11U/12U – 50’/70’ LENGTH OF GAME 8U will play 5 innings 9U-12U will play 6 innings There is a TIME LIMIT of 1 hour and 45 minutes per game. No inning shall start after that time If there is a TIE at the end of regulation during POOL PLAY, the game will end in a TIE Once BRACKET PLAY begins, the TIME LIMIT remains in effect unless there is a TIE. If there is a tie, the game will continue until a WINNER is determined. HOME TEAM During POOL PLAY, the home team will be determined by a COIN FLIP. Once BRACKET PLAY and CONSOLATION GAMES begin, HOME TEAM is determined by the HIGHER SEED SCOREKEEPING The HOME TEAM is responsible for the TOURNAMENT PITCHING AND SCORE LOG Both TEAMS are responsible for SIGNING the TOURNAMENT PITCHING AND SCORE LOG for VERIFICATION.

RUN DIFFERENTIAL Max Run Differential is set at 8. Example: If a game ends with the score of 22-5, it shows up in the standings as if the game were 13-5, so there is no advantage to running up the score. TIE BREAKERS WIN-LOSS Record, HEAD to HEAD, FEWEST RUNS ALLOWED, RUN DIFFERENTIAL, COIN FLIP MAX Run Differential is set at 8 MANAGER, PLAYER OR COACH EJECTION If a manager, coach or player is ejected from a game, they must sit out the remainder of that game and will be SUSPENDED for the NEXT GAME. The manager, coach or player will not be allowed back in the park until the suspension has been served. Failure to comply will result in a suspension for the remainder of the tournament. DISORDERLY CONDUCT Disorderly conduct WILL NOT be TOLERATED Any player, coach, parent or fan whose conduct is unbecoming will be WARNED, but may be EJECTED and removed from the playing field. If the manager, coach or player is NON-COMPLIANT, they will be EJECTED for the REMAINDER of the tournament. If the behavior continues, the team will be REMOVED from the tournament Unless the umpire has been physically touched, the umpire will send both teams to their dugouts with a one minute warning that a forfeit is about to occur. If necessary, parents and fans will be removed from the park by local authorities. PROTESTS To protest a rule interpretation you must put up $100 cash. The game will be delayed and a ruling made by the Tournament Director. ALL DECISIONS ARE FINAL If the protest is UPHELD, the $100 will be returned. If the protest is DENIED, you must forfeit the $100.
Updated 4/21/15 REFUND POLICY In the event of game CANCELATIONS due to the weather, the following refund policy is in place: o 1 game played – 50% refund of Registration Fee o Once the second game has been started, NO REFUNDS will be permitted. o If no games are played, the registration fee minus a $50 administration fee will be returned.
