Mr. McEvoy, The field assessment, for the coal combustion residual surface impoundment located at the Progress Energy Weatherspoon facility, is currently scheduled for Tuesday, February 22nd at 10AM. The following email notification and checklists were sent out this morning to Progress Energy. We will copy you and the staff at the State Dam Safety office on future notifications to facilities located in North Carolina for coordination purposes. Mr. Holt, Dewberry is under contract with the US EPA to perform a safety assessment of the coal combustion residual impoundments (CCRI) serving the Weatherspoon facility. The field assessment will be performed on Tuesday February 22nd at 10AM. The following individuals from Dewberry will be present: 1. Frederic Shmurak 2. Justin Story All team members will wear hard hats, safety vests, steel toe shoes and long trousers and are anticipated to be escorted by representatives of the facility. We will report to the guard and provide your name when we arrive. It is requested that the checklists attached to this transmission be reviewed and appropriate documents provided in order for Dewberry to complete our assessment. Please contact me if you have questions or require any additional information. I look forward to seeing you on the 22nd.
