What’s in a Consolidated Plan? Blueprint for: • developing affordable housing, • preventing homelessness, • ensuring fair housing, • expanding economic opportunities, • improving neighborhoods, and more 3
FY 2011-2014 Funding • Over the past four years, the County has received $5,897,759 in Community Development Block Grant funds. • Approximately half of the CDBG funds are included in the County’s competitive Community Development Fund.

Housing needs analysis • Key findings – – Shortage of rental housing for very low income and extremely low income – Growing population segments include families with children, senior households, and persons with disabilities – Homeownership opportunities for moderate income persons have diminished – Permanent and supportive housing is needed for homeless and near homeless residents 6
