G336 ~ Pants…Perfected! ~ your pants fitting solution ~ Pamela Leggett, Instructor [email protected] * Please email me directly with any questions you might have Get ready to make a great fitting pair of pants! You can get your pattern at the first class. Pattern/DVD Combo - $32.00 Wear To Class: For the first day, please wear tights, stockings and /or good underwear that do not leave a dent in your tummy area. You will be stripping down in front of everyone and I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable! Slip on shoes are also helpful. Wear pants to the class, it will be fun to evaluate your ready made pants! Bring To Class: 2-1/2 yards of bottom weight WOVEN fabric. Even though the first pair is a “test” pair, the fabric should be of good quality with NO lycra or stretch in it. We have a wonderful selection of pant weight fabric at Steve’s, so if you don’t have any fabric, I will do a “tour” of what we have and you can purchase after the class. You will not need the fabric for the first class. When you get your fabric, also get thread to match and contrast and a 12” or longer zipper. Basic sewing supplies including scissors, rotary cutter, lots of pins, tape measure, marking chalk, 18”- 24” ruler Mechanical pencil and a red pencil or pen (Pamela’s favorite – Flair markers) Optional - Pants for Real People by Patti Palmer and Perfect Pattern Paper by Palmer/Pletsch. You can get these at the first class. Scotch tape in a weighted dispenser Fantastic Elastic and Perfect Fuse light interfacing ( available at Steve’s) You will not need your sewing machine for the first class. Prepare Before Class: If you have Fantastic Elastic, make a “Fitting Elastic” before you come. Cut the elastic to 5/8” wide and 2” smaller than your waist (it should be snug). Overlap the ends ½” and secure.
