GYMBL is being developed as an opportunity for youth (8-18) to ride together and experience semi-competitive Mountain Biking in a causal environment. The League has been started as collective effort of SORBA, NOR-Ga and Forsyth Outdoors. All events are sanctioned by USA Cycling. Cost to join the League and participate in scheduled events is $40 and includes the following: International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA) Membership, USA Cycling membership, Program expenses and daily event licenses and insurance. IMBA membership also provides a few benefits like socks, stickers and a 1 year IMBA magazine subscription not to mention a portion of the membership returns to local chapters to help benefit trail advocacy and development. Pre-registration can be handled through www.active.com and Day of “On site” registration is also available and Checks should be made payable to NOR-Ga. As a bonus each racer will be entered into a sweepstakes to win a Novara-brand kid's mountain bike from REI! Racers will receive one entry for each race they compete in - sign up for all three and triple your chances of winning! Winner to be announced on October 22.
