Begins: Monday, September 15, 2014 Ends: Friday, March 20, 2015 Extended season applies to Al Palladini Community Centre only, ending Friday, May 15, 2015.

Skating & Shinny:

Skating: Open to all ages. Children under 7 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. • Free skating and shinny hockey are unsupervised. • No hockey sticks or nets permitted during unsupervised skates. Shinny Hockey Parent & Child: A parent or guardian supervised program. Participation restricted to one adult (18 years+) per 2 children (6-12 years). Note: There is a fee of $4.75 for each additional child. Parent or guardian must be on the ice. This program is designed for fathers/mothers and sons/daughters to learn and enjoy the game together. Coaches and their players will not be permitted. • A shinny hockey ticket/stamp must be purchased at the customer service desk. Space is limited. Only 1 ticket per person is issued and may be purchased 1 hour in advance of program start time. Goalies are free (maximum of 3). Maximum of 20 shinny hockey players, excluding goalies. • Ice pad may be split between practice and game play at the discretion of the shinny hockey attendant. Safety Guidelines • Helmets are highly recommended for new skaters and children under 8 years of age. • Helmets are mandatory for all shinny participants. • Face guards are mandatory for youth and children in the parent & child shinny hockey program. • Full equipment, including elbow pads and shin guards are highly recommended when participating in shinny hockey. • All arenas are subject to capacity. Important Information • Rosemount Community Centre and Woodbridge Pool & Memorial Arena accepts cash only for recreational skating and shinny hockey. Maple and Al Palladini Community Centres accepts cash only on Saturday nights. Woodbridge Pool accepts cash only on Wednesdays and Sundays. • All participants must wear skates on the ice. • No skate rentals or sharpening available.
