Garry returned to Northwest Nazarene University in 1981, serving 1 year as an assistant to Terry Layton and then 9 seasons (1982-91) as Head Coach for the Crusader Basketball Program. During his tenure at NNU, Garry taught in the Department of Kinesiology and served 2 years as Athletic Director.
