INTRODUCTION Keys are easy to replace on a Gateway netbook. You can purchase keys online at Amazon, eBay, or the product page. Keys contain three parts: key cap, key retainer clip, and rubber cup. For this guide, we will replace the key cap.
TOOLS: iFixit Opening Tools (1) 2.5 mm Flathead Screwdriver (1)

Step 1 — Key
Before replacing any key, make sure your netbook is turned off to prevent any mistakes during the process.
Step 2
Insert a plastic opening tool under the key to be removed.

Put the opening tool underneath the key. Use force until the key pops up.
Step 4
To replace the key, follow these instructions, but do them in reverse order (i.e., use the plastic opening tool to put the key back in place).
