Baseball GENERAL INFORMATION
New in 2017: Athletes must be registered online. Visit il.8to18.com/mortonjhs to complete the online registration process. The only document students need to turn into the office in the sports physical. Participation cards (referred as Green cards will no longer be distributed. Athletes will not be allowed to try-out/ practice/participate without registering and turning in their physical. District “activity fee” must be paid by first game Additional costs: approx. $40 for secondary jersey, hat, socks/belt (if needed) Metal spikes are not allowed See iesa.org for bat restrictions Cleats, helmets, and batting gloves must be red in color.
SCHEDULES
Try-Outs: Mon-Wed., July 31 - Aug.23 at Westwood Park Players are expected to attend each day of try-outs 8th Grade - 9:00-10:30 7th Grade - 10:30-12:00 Practices will be daily after school, Monday-Friday from 3:00-5:00 (generally). Game schedule can be accessed on the MJHS homepage at: il.8to18.com/mortonjhs A parent meeting will be announced during try-outs and will be held shortly after practice has begun. A parent is required to attend.
