BEHAVIOR & PARTICIPATION Campus Recreation policies are designed for the protection of participants, employees, and facilities. In keeping with mission statement and related goals for creating a welcoming, safe and fun environment, all participants should be mindful and respectful of others around them. •
Patrons will not be allowed to express verbal or written profanity.
•
Patrons may not interfere with employee duties, use obscene language, or engage in verbal / or physical abuse of employees or other participants.
•
Participants must observe all posted signs and verbal directions provided by Campus Recreation staff.
•
Use of drug, alcohol, and tobacco products are not permitted at Campus Recreation facilities or program venues. Attendees or participants identified as impaired will be removed from Campus Recreation facilities or program activities.
•
Attempts to use another member’s ID or provide a member ID for another's use violates University and State regulations. Consequences of ID violations may result in confiscation of the ID and suspension from Campus Recreation facilities and / or program participation.
•
Use of Campus Recreation facilities for personal gain violates University policy relating to facilities, services, or solicitations, and is prohibited at all program venues.
•
No scooters, bikes, cleats or rollerblades are permitted in the Jacoby Dickens Center. Bicycle racks are available outside the front entrance of the Jacoby Dickens Center.
•
No pets allowed: Service animals specifically trained to a aid a person with a disability are welcome.
•
RULES GOVERNING UNDERAGE PATRONS: No persons under the age of 18 are allowed in the facility, unless he/she is participating in a program.
•
For sanitation and safety reasons, and to protect the facility and equipment, participants are required to wear clothing appropriate to activity area.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK When engaging in any physical exercise or activity, a Patron does so at his/her own risk. This includes, without limitation, the use of the locker room, pool, sauna or any equipment in the facility and participation in any activity, class, program or instruction. IDENTIFICATION •
All members are required to present a valid Student, Staff, Faculty, Alumni or Community Membership ID to gain entry into Campus Recreation areas.
•
Patrons that forget their ID, can access the facility once by presenting another form of identification and they must state their CSU ID number. Patrons will also be required to have their card problem resolved before their next visit, or their access will be denied.
GUEST POLICY Campus Recreation does not permit guests in any programs or program areas. PROPER ATTIRE Proper attire is required for all activity areas. ACTIVITY AREA RULES Please read and adhere to all posted rules and instructions in each activity area.
DISCIPLINARY ACTION Discipline problems will be handled first by Campus Recreation staff and then referred to CSU Police as necessary.
FOOD & BEVERAGE No food or open beverages allowed in Campus Recreation areas. Only water in a clear, plastic, re-sealable container is permitted. Campus Recreation staff determine if containers meet acceptable standards.

EQUIPMENT CHECK-OUT / IN •
Day use equipment is available for checkout with valid CSU ID or Campus Recreation Membership ID. Patrons must give a valid CSU ID or Campus Recreation Membership ID to the campus recreation staff and complete the checkout form before being allowed to rent all equipment. Only one piece of equipment per ID. Day use equipment must be returned by facility closing on the same day to avoid replacement charge.
•
Lost, missing, or damaged Campus Recreation equipment or property may result in replacement charges or suspension of Campus Recreation facility use and / or program participation dependent upon circumstances. Campus Recreation staff will address and resolve the situation.
LOCKER ROOM USE •
There are 4 locker rooms available for patron use. Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost/stolen or damaged items and recommends that all personal belongings be secured.
•
Patrons must provide their own locks and may only use the lockers in the indicated areas.
•
Lockers in the “reserved” section are not permitted for patron use. Locks outside of the “reserved” section will be cut regularly. Patrons should remove their locks daily.
•

•
CSU Faculty and Staff may request the use of a locker in the JDC for semester use. A designated number of lockers will be made available on a first come, first serve basis. To request a locker, complete the form on the Campus Recreation website: www.gocsucougars.com/campusrec
LOST, DAMAGED, OR STOLEN ITEMS •
Personal belongings should be locked in a locker for your participation and for the safety of others. Campus Recreation is not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal articles. Individuals should report stolen items to CSUPD.

Information regarding participants’ lost / found items may be made in-person at the Fitness Center Desk in the Jacoby Dickens Center or to the Campus Recreation Manager or by email to

FACILITY RESERVATIONS Jacoby Dickens Center The management of University facilities and enforcement of University policies is the responsibility of the Office of Meetings & Events. Information about reserving and/or renting space can be obtained at: http://www.csu.edu/convocationcenter/eventforms.htm or by calling (773) 821-2183
PARKING Parking is the responsibility of patron. There is a $5 daily charge for parking or patrons may obtain a parking pass. Information about parking services and rates can be obtained at http://www.csu.edu/parking/index.htm The rules of this Campus Recreation facility are designed for the protection of our students, staff, faculty, alumni and facilities. Our staff will gladly explain our Campus Recreation policies and procedures. Violations may result in loss of Campus Recreation Center privileges. Thank you!
