uke Dean might be a fresh face in town, but he brings a wealth of experience to his new role with Bendigo-based employment services provider CVGT Australia. Mr Dean, a 12-year veteran of the employment services industry, is CVGT Australia’s new Bendigo Job Services Australia manager, covering the company’s JSA operations in Bendigo, Eaglehawk and Maryborough. Ten of those years were spent with CVGT Australia’s Shepparton branch, where he became a successful manager of the JSA and Disability Employment Service (DES) programs, turning the latter into one of the most highly regarded DES operations in Australia and paving the way for the expansion this year of the company’s DES program across Victoria. As JSA manager, Mr Dean is responsible for assistance to short-and long-term unemployed people, ensuring they are ready to work for local employers through training and support and helping employers to source all available government benefits for hiring them. He left CVGT Australia in 2011 to pursue an opportunity with another provider in Western Australia but the Deans returned to be closer to family. Mr Dean, his wife of seven years, Shannon, and their two children, Maia, 4, and Madden, 16 months, - have settled in Strathfieldsaye.

“We always said that we would do two years (in WA) but we always said we would come back to Victoria,” Mr Dean said. “Our families are in the Shepparton area. We are very close to our families. We wanted our kids to grow up close to our nephews.” Mr Dean said he is excited about the business and family opportunities Bendigo presents. “Bendigo is a regional city. It’s got good opportunities. It’s a vibrant town and it’s growing. You only have to look at the new estates up in Epsom to see it’s growing,” he said. “I want to make sure I effectively manage this site and manage it well. The last thing I want to do is let people down because this is CVGT Australia’s home base.” CVGT Australia Chief Executive Officer Paul Green said he was delighted welcome Mr Dean back. “Luke did wonderful things for us and, more importantly, our employers and job seekers with JSA and DES over in Shepparton,” he said. “We are thrilled that when Luke came back to Victoria, we were able to attract him back to us to manage one of our prime business streams.” For details on any of CVGT Australia’s programs, please phone 13 CVGT (13 2848).
