What to bring: Dress ready to play in t-shirt, shorts and athletic tennis shoes! Bring water and knee pads (if you own a pair). Whether your child is a beginner or an intermediate player, this camp will teach essential skills to help each student improve their volleyball game. With a small player-to-coach ratio, students will receive 15 hours of instruction from the VCS high school coaching staff, college-level coaches, college players, and VCS high school athletes. About the Camp Instructors: All sessions will be directed and instructed by Bill Schnobrich, director of volleyball at VCS. Schnobrich has a wealth of experience including 22 years as a head high school coach. In 2003, he led the VCS boys’ varsity team, and the Village Christian School community, to their first CIF-SS championship and was named CIF Coach of the Year. He also boasts 11 league championships. Also assisting with instruction is Brent Asuka and Andy Levoe. Asuka is the associate head coach of the girls’ volleyball program at VCS and also coaches for San Gabriel Elite Volleyball Club. He was a stand-out player at UC Irvine where he won two national championships and was honored as an All-American libero. Levoe, assistant coach for the University of Arizona, was a former player and coach at Village Christian. As a player he helped lead the boys’ volleyball team to a CIF-SS championship, and was twice named an All-CIF player. Confirmation of registration will be sent by email.
