OUR MISSION:

To meet the emergency needs of our Moore County neighbors by providing food, clothing and financial resources and to collaborate with appropriate agencies for clients with on going needs.

OUR VISION:

To facilitate cooperative community action including education and counseling which will lead our clients to lasting life changes enabling self sufficiency.

Did you know? Most people know the Coalition provides food, clothing and financial assistance to struggling families in our community. Coalition services, though, go beyond these basic necessities. The ultimate goal is to help families become self sufficient. Our staff, board of directors, and volunteers regularly evaluate services to determine additional ways to help achieve that goal. In that spirit, did you know that the Coalition also offers transportation services from our Client Services campus? Every Richard Hallman, Coalition volunteer driver day volunteer drivers take people to Carthage for a variety of appointments including those at the Department of Social Services, the Health Department, Veterans Services, or other agencies. Transportation to the Employment Security Commission, Vocational Rehabilitation, First Health, and other medical appointments are also available daily. In addition to the regular trips mentioned above, the Coalition also offers transportation to the Social Security office in Sanford and the Department of Motor Vehicles in Aberdeen once a month. Transportation services are just one of the many ways the Coalition provides a “hand up” to struggling families in Moore County.
