Board of Directors I am very thankful for the men and women who have chosen to lead and guide Niños de Mexico as a part of the Board of Directors.

In the US, #GIVINGTUESDAY is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. It is a planned event to motivate focused holiday and end-of year giving which is so essential to ministries like Niños de Mexico. We need your help! When we send emails and Facebook posts out, we need you to share and re-send the messages to your friends and contacts.

They help us set the direction and future of NDM. They are instrumental in overseeing the work and accomplishments of the ministry.

I'm particularly thankful for those who have been a part of the board for many years - giving continuity to the ministry through all kinds of changes through the years both in the US and in Mexico.

You have a big influence on your social media group! When they see that you love and trust the ministry of Niños de Mexico they may become involved as well. Please "Like Niños de Mexico on Facebok. And when the time comes, help us get the #GIVINGTUESDAY word out! Thank you in advance for your help.

Agape Family

When Niños began almost 50 years ago the board was made up of members of First Christian Church of Washington and First Christian Church of Union. Through the years we have also added members from a variety of other churches and areas.

At present we have members of our board from all over the country. 1 from Eagle Pass,Texas, 1 from Markle, Indiana and most recently 1 from Hagerstown, Maryland. At times those who are at a distance join us at the meetings in Union - at other times they join us via Skype or by telephone.

Agape Family 2016 We want to introduce you to another Niños family this month. The Agape family is a family of girls who range in age from 1 year to 18 years old. Some of the girls have been with us since 2006 and the three newest (Carmen, Allison and Zoe) for just a year. As you can imagine, the 1 year old, Zoe and her sister Allsion (5), get spoiled by the rest of the older girls.

A big thank you to each of our board members and their families for serving the children of Mexico in this way!! And a big thank you to each of you for trusting us with your giving. We want to make the best use of your resources so that Niños can continue to impact both the short-term and long-term needs of the children, and their future families and their future communities!

Carlos, Damian and Emilio

The girls are advancing in their education and we are very proud of them. This year 7 of the girls are in High School. It is a huge challenge for the girls as well as for the house moms. Laura Hernandez and Claudia Mondragon are the housemoms to all of these girls. Ruth Flores joined us late this summer to assist in the home. Ruth graduated from Colegio Biblico in May. This sumer several remodeling projects were completed by groups which give us more room to take in additional girls! We would like to ask you to keep the girls and the house moms in your prayers. Also pray for the next girls that will be joining the Agape family!

THANK YOU for joining us in transforming lives in Mexico.

Steve Ross Executive Director P.S. 50 years ago a young couple was making plans to head to Mexico to begin a work with homeless children in the Mexico City area! Here is what they wrote to their supporters in the summer of 1966: "Immediately upon our return we will enroll again in language school to complete our studies. We will also be looking for property that is suitable for the beginning of a home for homeless children. As soon as this property is found we will begin taking in children. (The Government of the Federal District of Mexico has given its consent to the operation of this home and will issue a permit as soon as we are ready to begin.) Of course, we will not only be caring for children but the home will also be a center of evangelism. We ask for your prayers that the Lord's will might be done in this venture."
