THE CHALLENGE: UNRELIABLE C O N TA C T I N F O R M AT I O N The company has a large database of potential sales contacts, but the overall health and quality of the information was not reliable. Company officials didn’t know how many of the e-mails or phone numbers were still active. They also needed more detailed—as well as more accurate—firmographic information about the companies in the contact database, such as industry, number of employees, locations, and other information. The company wanted to build a datamart to strengthen marketing and sales efforts, but needed to cleanse its data and, equally important, create automated processes for enriching its data and keeping it accurate and up to date.

The Data HealthScan assessed the health of the company’s businessto-business contact database across four critical elements: – phone connectability – email deliverability – record completeness – record duplication The Data HealthScan also enabled this firm to determine if the people and companies in their contact database matched their target customer profiles.
