The Sixty Million • 244 million people outside their country • 14 million newly displaced this year because of violence and persecution. • 42,500 forced from their homes daily because of violence and persecution. • 10 million individuals were stateless (meaning without basic legal identity or citizenship) this year. • 34,300 unaccompanied minor refugees applied for asylum (the largest number since records have been kept).
