1. Disassembly Remove and discard OE piston, pin and seal (do not reuse the OE D-ring seal). Retain OE spring, cover and screws for reuse. 2. Installation a. Clean and inspect the bore.

Steel Balls Press into bore.

b. Plug the pin bore in bottom of accumulator bore by installing both the Sonnax balls (Figure 1). Lightly stake the pin bore after pressing in the balls. c. Install the Sonnax D-ring seal in groove nearest the closed end of the piston (Figure 2).

d. Install the Sonnax PTFE seal in groove nearest the open end of the piston (Figure 2). 3. Reassembly a. Lubricate seals. b. Install the Sonnax piston with new seals into the bore. The closed end of the piston with D-ring should be facing toward balls as shown in the main photo. c. Reinstall OE accumulator spring.
