Oversized Converter Feed Limit Valve 6L80 Pump Body
1. Disassembly a. Remove OE retaining clip and spring, save both for reuse. b. Remove and discard OE converter limit valve.
Required
Oversized Pump Base Plate VB-06 NOTE: Use of the VB-06 is required with the VB-FIX reaming fixture for this installation unless the stator support shaft is removed from the pump body.
2. Reaming Ream converter feed limit bore (for reaming instructions/reamer care, please visit www.sonnax.com). Sonnax reaming tool kit F-104520-TL11C and VB-FIX are required for this operation.
NOTE: Requires the use of Sonnax pump plate VB-06 with the VB-FIX, unless the stator support shaft is removed from pump body.
3. Installation & Assembly a. Install Sonnax valve with the spring guide facing out as shown in main photo. b. Reinstall OE spring, ensuring the spring goes over the valve spring guide. c. Reinstall OE retaining clip.
Use modeling clay or reusable adhesive putty to plug the long passage as shown.
4. Final Testing Vacuum testing at the port indicated holds the recommended minimum 20 in-Hg.
Approximate size and location of Sonnax vacuum test plate.
Cover both ports during vacuum test.
