BIBLE STORY FOR TODDLERS In the beginning, there was nothing but God. God made the world. God made the heavens and the earth. God made light. God made the sky. God made seas and dry land. God made all the plants and trees. God made the sun, the moon, and the stars. God made all kinds of fish in the water. He made all kinds of birds in the sky. God made all the animals. God made all these good things in six days using only His words.

BABIES GOSPEL GEMS **God made everything. **Everything God made was good. **God is King over everything He made.

Babies Activities EXPLORE THE BIBLE Provide hand-size Bibles for babies to hold and turn the pages. Open your Bible to Genesis 1. Say the Gospel Gems to babies in a soothing voice. You may read the key passage card printable. SAY: The Bible is a special book. The Bible is God’s words. The Bible tells us who made the world and everything in it. GOD MADE EVERYTHING.

SING A SONG Sing to the tune of “God Is So Good”: “God made the *world, God made the world, God made the world, God made everything.” *Substitute light, sea, sun, moon, trees, birds, fish, cows, bugs, and so forth SAY: God made the world and animals. GOD MADE EVERYTHING.

READ BOOKS ABOUT CREATION Provide texture books, board books, or soft books featuring God’s creation. Talk about the items that God made as you read to babies. SAY: God made all these good things. GOD MADE EVERYTHING.

SEED SHAKERS Half fill a clear plastic spice bottle with seeds. Glue the lid to the container to make sure it is sealed. Guide babies to shake the containers to hear the sound the seeds make. SAY: God made trees and plants with seeds. GOD MADE EVERYTHING.

Toddler Activities CIRCLE TIME (5 MINUTES) Provide small Bibles for toddlers to handle. Say: “The Bible is God’s words, and all of God’s words are true.” Read the key passage card and guide toddlers to say it after you. Read the Bible story or tell it in your own words. SAY: Everything God made was very good. GOD MADE EVERYTHING.

CREATION CUBE Print and assemble the Creation Cube printable before class. Invite toddlers to examine it. Point to the pictures. SAY: God made all these good things. God is King over everything He made. GOD MADE EVERYTHING.

USE YOUR VOICE Provide empty cardboard tubes for toddlers to speak into. Demonstrate how to say the key passage into the tubes. SAY: GOD MADE EVERYTHING. He made everything with only His voice. Everything God made was good.

EXPLORE CREATION Place nature items in clear, sealed containers. Empty CD cases sealed with tape work well. Invite toddlers to handle the containers to observe God’s creation. SAY: GOD MADE EVERYTHING. God is King over everything He made.

GLUE A PICTURE Print and cut out the Creation Pictures printable. Help toddlers glue them to construction paper. SAY: God made everything we see. GOD MADE EVERYTHING.

TRANSITION ACTIVITY - BUILD WITH BLOCKS Invite toddlers to sit with you and build with cardboard or soft blocks. If they can’t stack blocks yet, they may push over what you build. SAY: We built with blocks. GOD MADE EVERYTHING using only His voice. God is King over everything He made.

COUNT TO SIX Gather six items for toddlers to count. Hold up your fingers as you count slowly. Invite toddlers to count with you or touch the items as you count them aloud. SAY: GOD MADE EVERYTHING in six days! God is King over everything He made.

USE A FLASHLIGHT Turn off a few of the lights. Use a flashlight to shine light on the wall. Remind toddlers that God made light. SAY: God made light. It was good! Everything God made was good. GOD MADE EVERYTHING.

Check diapers, serve a snack if needed, and release toddlers to parents according to your church’s security procedures.
