GOLDEN EAGLE BASEBALL ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICAN AWARDS The Golden Eagle Baseball (GEB) Board of Directors is proud and excited to present its 2018 Academic All American Awards (AAA) Program for student athletes beginning at the 4th grade level. The Academic All American Awards is an award presented to qualified student athletes who have demonstrated superior academic prowess while participating in the Golden Eagle Baseball Program. All GEB participants are encouraged to submit an application to be considered for an award. To be considered for an award, participants must submit an application and a report card for the first semester containing letter or number grades. Award winners may purchase a jacket or sweatshirt embroidered with their achievement level and the year. Subsequent years award winners will be embroidered with the new year free of charge. All honorees will be recognized during Championship Day. To Qualify: To be considered for a Golden Eagle Baseball Academic All American Award, the following must be completed. 1. Application and comments sheet…Parents- this is your opportunity to include comments regarding other achievements. These should primarily be things outside of baseball. Please try to keep it to one paragraph and please write legibly. 2. Copy of the student/player’s 1st semester report card. All classes will be factored into the GPA total. 3. Must have been registered and have played in this year’s Golden Eagle Baseball 2018 season. Injured players qualify if they played in at least part of one game. 4. Enclose check…for the cost of the jacket (See order form for pricing). Please make checks payable to Golden Eagle Baseball. If you already have an AAA jacket from a previous year that you want to use, make a note of that on the application and drop it off in the snack bar by March 28th (please be sure to include last name

Academic Achievement Evaluation: The levels of recognition are as follows: Gold = GPA of 4.0 (or above) Silver = GPA of 3.5-3.9 Bronze = GPA of 3.0 – 3.4 GPA will be determined by the Program Director and will be based on the scale listed below. Some schools use letter grades and others use point totals, both are acceptable. Any grade in any subject below a C or a 1 (in a 3-1 point scale) on any report card will disqualify a student/player completely. They also need to have less then 2 check marks in the citizenship categories to qualify (plus (+) or minuses (-) are not recognized). Letter Grades
