Golden Valley Summer Classic Tournament Rules 2014 USSSA rules will be used with the following: Length of Games: Games are 65 minutes in length with no inning starting after the 65th minute (except tie games, which will be played to completion). Make sure you agree on the official start time with the opposing coach and the umpire at the start of the game. Umpire is the official time-keeper. Count: 3 balls, 2 strikes with one courtesy foul Balls: USSSA-sanctioned optic yellow 11" balls will be used for all games. Run rule: 20 after 4 innings, 15 after 5 innings. “Flip-Flop” rule will be used. Infield Fly: Infield fly rule will be in effect for all age levels. Games tied after regulation: In each extra inning each team will start with a runner on second with no outs. Runner is whoever made last out in the previous inning. Tournament Standings: Pool Play based on record. Tie-breakers (in order): Head to head, total runs allowed, total runs scored (max game differential of 15), coin toss. Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Any ejection of a player or coach for unsportsmanlike conduct shall apply to the remainder of the tournament. Tobacco: Tobacco is not permitted in public parks in Golden Valley. The fine is $100. We won’t fine you, but the police might. Parking: Police will ticket cars parked illegally, including cars in the parking lot not in designated spaces. Be mindful when parking, if the lots are full, to not block driveways or obstruct mail boxes. Garbage: Some of the residents near the park are sensitive to garbage left at the fields and parking near the fields. Please help clean up the garbage in and around the dugouts, the fields and in the parking lots.
