Pivot Profiles: How They Help

Used to identify domains that exist in the email sender metadata

Useful in identifying email sent / received from personal accounts, junk mail, etc.

Works best if you first filter on emails only to reduce the number of blank results, or you can filter on a specific pattern to narrow results

We usually instruct people to click the grid in order to build a filter, then utilize the save as search function in order to facilitate batching

Used to identify year / month of emails sent by key custodians

Can be used to QC opposing productions containing date restrictions, or to find year / month / custodian combinations of interest and quickly batch for review

Filter on emails and key custodians before running – too many custodians will make the chart difficult to read

4 Analytics Be Efficient (Save Time and Money)

Analytics Leverage Previous Work • Create a Categorization Set • Use existing coding to identify examples • Review the results of categorization • Recipe: Using categorization to identify hot documents

Conceptual Categorization •

Finds documents that are conceptually similar
