Graduated Candle Set Decorative candles for decorative purposes only.
Supplies Needed • 3 Fabric Palette® 18" x 21" Singles • 3 Pillar Candles - 3", 6", and 9" High (identical or coordinating colors) • Gold, Silver, or Copper Thin Gauge Wire • Fray Check™ • Thumb Tacks (Gold or Silver) • Large or Medium Glass Beads (coordinating with fabrics) • Ribbon (optional) • Scissors • Gold or Silver Leaves • Pencil
Instructions twist
1. Cut strips for candles, mixing and matching fabrics for each candle. Tall Candle Medium Candle Short Candle Cut three 2" x 11" strips Cut two 2" x 11" strips Cut one 2" x 11" strip Cut two 2" x 11" strips Cut one 2" x 11" strip 2. Finish the edges by applying Fray Check™ approximately 1/4" from edges of the long sides of each strip. Fray fabric by pulling threads from the weave to meet Fray Check™.
3. Layer strips on each candle by wrapping one fabric first, overlapping edges to make a wide band. Follow by using narrower piece, centering it in the middle. On the tall and medium candles, a piece of coordinating ribbon as a third layer could be added. After layers are in place, fold raw edges of short ends under and secure with three or four thumb tacks at the back of the candle 4. Cut a few feet of thin gauge wire and thread a glass bead to the middle. Twist the wire once or twice to keep bead in place. Center the bead at the front of your candle. While holding bead in place, wrap one end of wire around candle two or three times, ending at the back. Wrap the other end in the same manner. With both ends in the back, twist them together securely. Finish by wrapping the loose ends of wire around a pencil a few times; remove pencil, leaving a curly effect. At front of candle near the bead, glue leaves to embellish candle.

2. Terminer les bordures en appliquant Fray Check™ à environ 1/4" (6.35 mm) des bord des côtés longs de chaque bande. Effilocher le tissu en tirant les fils du tissage jusqu’au Fray Check™.
3. Mettre les bandes de tissu sur chaque chandelle en enroulant un tissu en premier et en recouvrant les bordures pour obtenir une large bande. Continuer en utilisant une pièce plus étroite et centrer au milieu. On pourrait ajouter une pièce de ruban coordonné comme troisième épaisseur sur la grande et la moyenne chandelle. Lorsque les tissus sont placés, replier les bords des bouts courts en-dessous et solidifier avec trois ou quatre punaises derrière la chandelle. 4. Couper quelques pieds de fil métallique et enfiler une perle de verre au milieu. Enrouler le fil de fer une ou deux fois afin de garder la perle en place. Centrer la perle devant la chandelle. Pendant que vous tenez la perle en place, enrouler deux ou trois fois un bout du fil de fer autour de la chandelle, terminer en arrière. Enrouler l’autre bout de la même façon. Enrouler les deux bouts solidement derrière. Terminer en enroulant les bouts de fil métallique autour d’un crayon plusieurs fois; enlever le crayon afin d’obtenir un effet bouclé. Décorer en collant des feuilles devant la chandelle près de la perle.
