Graduation Ceremony Autumn 2017 General Information Friday, 24th November 2017 This document contains general information for graduands and guests on the Graduation day and the venue, please refer to it along with the important information in your invitation email. Hibernia College are holding two conferring ceremonies on 24th November 2017 in the Convention Centre Dublin. Registration & Registration Card On arrival register at the Hibernia College registration desk at the time allocated to you below. At the registration desk you will be given a registration card with your name and your allocated seat number. *If you wish to avail of the professional photography service please do so after gowning and before the ceremony commences, if time does not permit you to there is limited availability to do so after the ceremony.

Photography Lafayette Photography will be there on the day providing a professional photography and framing service. You can book this service online in advance of the ceremony through their website. Photographs available include:  Individual Portraits  Family Portraits  Presentation of parchment Further information on the photography and framing service can be found on their website: www.lafayette.ie Venue Details This year’s ceremony will take place in the award winning Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) in the heart of Dublin City centre. How to get there The CCD is easily accessible by car, taxi and public transport (Luas and bus). For full details on making your way to the CCD please visit their website: http://www.theccd.ie/how-to-get-here If you are booking overnight accommodation there are many options in Dublin City Centre, there are a number of nearby suggestions on the CCD website: http://www.theccd.ie/visiting/hotels Parking The CCD has an underground car par with 320 spaces, parking rates apply, you can pre-book parking up to 2 weeks in advance, please visit http://www.theccd.ie/parking. Accessibility The CCD is wheelchair accessible. This includes access to the stage. If a graduand or guest requires assistance, please email [email protected]. Prams & Buggies & Cloakroom Children are welcome at the ceremony and a small infant who can sit on the knee of one of your guest does not require a ticket, any other children require a ticket. Please be aware that that is a long formal ceremony, the seating is tiered and there will be a live quartet. 2

Prams and buggies are not permitted in the auditorium, however there will be a designated buggy area in the Convention Centre, should you need to avail of it. There will be a cloakroom available on the day. Additional tickets All graduands are issued with two guest tickets, should any additional tickets become available after the closing date for registration, the College will inform all students of the process to apply. The College are unable to reserve additional seating on request. Cancellations Fees are not refundable. If, after you have registered your intention to attend the ceremony you find cannot please inform the College by emailing [email protected]. Outstanding Programme fees Graduands will not be permitted to proceed with conferral until all amounts due by them to the College have been paid in full. Reception & Catering There is a reception after the ceremony and we would be delighted to welcome you and your guests to it. You will have the opportunity to mix with your fellow graduands, their families and guests, Hibernia College faculty and staff. Ahead of the ceremony, there will be paid catering available at the venue and an area to sit and enjoy the view from the Convention Centre should your guests arrive early. Check list If you are attending the ceremony: Before the ceremony:  Confirm your attendance - complete the online registration form no later than 9th October 2017  Print your guest ticket (2 guests per ticket)  Reserve your gown online with Armstrong & Oxford no later than 9th October 2017  Reserve your photography online with Lafayette (optional)  Reserve parking online with CCD (optional) On the day:  Ensure your guests have the printed standard ticket (the standard ticket permits entry for 2 guests) Ensure any additional guests have the printed guest ticket (1 guest per ticket)  Register and collect your registration card at the time specified on your invitation email  Gown at the time specified on your invitation email  Have your professional photographs (optional) taken before the ceremony  Keep your registration card with you  Sit on the seat allocated to you at the time specified on your invitation email Bring your registration card with you to the stage when you are called to be conferred  Bring hair clips for securing your mortar board If you are unable to attend the ceremony:  Confirm you are unable to attend - complete the registration form no later than 9th October 2017  Pay the postal fee to have your parchment posted to you
