greater pocatello chamber of commerce: a community takes millions of steps to better health THE BACKGROUND: Located in Idaho, the Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce promotes and fosters a favorable business climate for the benefit of Chamber members and the entire community. THE CHALLENGE: Wanting to improve the health of their employees and neighbors, Pocatello’s business leaders formed a Chamber Wellness Committee. Its mission: Promote wellness and activate a health-minded employee population in Southeast Idaho. To fulfill its goal, the group searched for a wellness program that could work for a variety of industries. It also had to have a flexible engagement model—one that could motivate individual employees, and also allow companies to engage with other companies and members of the community in activities that promoted positive and healthy changes.
THE SOLUTION: hubbub’s unique wellness platform offered the easy-to-manage flexibility the Greater Pocatello Chamber was seeking. The group’s Wellness Committee appreciated how easy it is to track activities and reward companies for participating in hubbub’s innovative mix of health-focused challenges. The needs of the Greater Pocatello Chamber of Commerce helped to drive hubbub’s creation of an association model, allowing the activity of several groups to roll up to one parent company or group.
