 Green Line Length: 50 km from North Pointe to Seton  Number of Stations: 27 stations (including 3 new stations in the downtown core)  Train Capacity vs. Articulated bus: The new three-car, low-floor trains will carry over eight times the number of passengers that an articulated bus can. New trains: 780 passengers vs. Articulated buses: 90 passengers.  Ride time: Ride times will be cut in half on the southeast leg of the Green Line with the completion of LRT (from 69 minutes to approximately 35 minutes). This will be of great benefit to the north leg which already runs the busiest bus route in Calgary.  Ridership estimates: The Green Line is expected to carry 41 million passengers annually from North Pointe to Seton.  The Green Line will serve a number of community and business hubs in the city: 

Community Activity Centres o Country Hills – 2,900 jobs o Quarry Park – 8,300 jobs o South Hill – 6,000 jobs



Major Activity Centres o Keystone Hills – 3,500 jobs o Seton – 5,200 jobs



Industrial – Employee Intensive o Aurora – 6,700 jobs o Douglasglen Business Centre – 2,000 jobs o Glenmore/Barlow Business Centre – 4,900 jobs



290,000 Calgarians are estimated to live along the Green Line corridor (including the Centre City and Beltline), estimated to increase to 465,000 by 2043 (+172,000) Total city population is 1.19 million today, increasing to 1.89 million by 2043 (+700,000)
