Achievements Recognizing
WITH CAFDN
On September 10, Greenwin was proud to be on hand to support the Children's Aid Foundation's annual Recognition Night, where deserving youth were presented with scholarships to fund their educational dreams. With emcee Tracy Moore from Cityline, scholarships from The Corsage Project and other incredible donors were presented. We are proud to announce that Team Greenwin's own Jessica Green and her husband were also on hand to present the inaugural Jessica Green and Jordan Baum Scholarship. Congratulations to all of the recipients!

Happy Retirement,
PETER WELSH!
After being with Team Greenwin for over 10 years, Resident Manager extraordinaire Peter Welsh retired on September 30. Since starting work at 88 Erskine in Toronto, Peter has lowered the turnover rate from 37% to 23% - an absolutely outstanding number, and one that is credited to Peter's exceptional customer service skills. On behalf of the entire Greenwin family, thank you Peter! We will miss you!

AT THE FRPO JOB FAIR
Team Greenwin was on hand for the FRPO Job Fair Expo at the Toronto Pearson Convention Center, meeting and greeting people interested in a career in the property management industry. Visitors to the Greenwin booth snapped photos of themselves which they then shared on social media with the hashtag #MeetGreenwin, all in a bid to win an interview with the our one and only VP of Human Resources, Jenny Affe. Stay tuned to find out who the lucky winner will be!

Keep an eye out for the latest Numeris commercial, in which our Toronto Head Office played the role of featured background actor (or so we like to think)! Exciting!
Greenwin Spir it Two Big Birthdays, One Great
Early September was birthdaycentral at the Greenwin offices, as our Chairman, Cary Green, and our President, Kevin Green, both celebrated birthdays. Team Greenwin gathered in the kitchen to present Cary (born on September 7) and Kevin (born on September 11) with an absolutely delicious cake for everyone to enjoy. As you can see, it was a true family affair!
Celebrating
PAYROLL WEEK WITH TREATS Mid-September saw the Greenwin payroll team celebrating Payroll Week, and an amazing breakfast spread was laid out for all of Greenwinites to enjoy. From bagels to fresh fruit, the healthy breakfast was a perfect way to start off the day while giving thanks to the best payroll administrators in the business!
Back-to-School
BBQ
Heading back to school can be a stressful time, so the staff at 25 San Romanoway in Toronto made it a little easier by hosting a huge BBQ blowout for all residents. Featuring face painting, games and, of course, tons of yummy food, the day was a huge success. Thanks to the hardworking Greenwin staff and Mother Nature for ensuring the sun was present all afternoon, residents enjoyed socializing and relaxing before the back-to-school grind began.

This month we are celebrating Peter Welsh, the former Resident Manager of 88 Erskine in Toronto. Peter retired on September 30, and his fantastic customer service and the pride he took in his work will be forever missed. Let's learn a little more about Peter in September's Q&A!
Q&A peter welsh
When did you start working with Greenwin? I started in February of 2004. What was your role with the company? I was a Resident Manager. What do you do when you start feeling overwhelmed on the job? I reflect on advice from my father: "If the task is worth doing, do your best." In other words; when I feel overwhelmed, I step back, re-evaluate, reprioritize and still do my best. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? How to build a house from start to finish.
If you could meet anyone, living or dead, who would you meet? I would like to have known my father's father. Like the Green's, he built houses in the east end of Toronto in the early 1900's. What did you like most about working at Greenwin? I've been able to utilize all the skills from previous jobs throughout my career in order to serve the residents of 88 Erskine to the best of my ability.
Kris’ Korner: This month, as kids head back to school, many of us are thinking about how we will provide them with the healthiest lunches possible. But what about our own lunches for work? While it is tempting to grab a fast food option, there are easy ways to eat healthy at work while saving money. Here are just a few tasty options I found - try them out with me this fall! ❶ Whole-wheat tortilla wrap of hummus, lettuce, sliced tomatoes, feta cheese and black olives; plus a carton of fat-free vanilla yogurt, and berries. ❷ Whole wheat pita stuffed with vegetarian refried beans, salsa, lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese; and apple slices with peanut butter. ❸ A green salad loaded with canned chunk light tuna, carrot strips, pepper slices, tomato wedges, red beans, and dried cranberries topped with balsamic vinaigrette; with a cup of low fat chocolate milk. ❹ A peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole wheat bread; a piece of fresh fruit; and low fat yogurt. ❺ Whole-wheat tortilla roll with sliced turkey, sliced low-fat mozzarella cheese, red pepper strips, and lettuce leaf (chill and slice into bite size pieces); with fruit salad and a glass of skim milk. See you in the lunchroom!
