GREENSBORO ALL STAR CHEERLEADING HALF YEAR ALL STAR PREP FAQ What is All Star Prep (ASP)? All Star Prep is an entry level program that is offered as an introduction to traditional all star cheer. This program also allows more participants to try and participate in all star cheer due to a lower practice, travel and financial commitment. The routine will be a 2 minute routine (shorter than the 2 and a half minute traditional all star routine) and will consist of all the same elements as traditional all stars, other than basket tosses. ASP teams cannot have crossovers from traditional all star teams. ASP will be offered at both 1 and 2 day events however at a 2 day event they will only perform 1 time. What ages is ASP offered at? Age Divisions are as follows (these are the divisions offered by the USASF not necessarily GAC, we will offer the divisions based on the age and skill of the participants that participate in our program) *Ages as of August 31, 2017 Tiny (Ages 5-6) Prep: Level 1 Mini (Ages 5-8) Prep: Level 1& 2 Youth (Ages 5-11) Prep: Level 1, 2 & 3 Junior (Ages 5-14) Prep: Level 1, 2 & 3 Senior (Ages 10-18) Prep: Level 1, 2 & 3 How will the ASP teams be put together? We will put the team(s) together based on both age and skill level. Depending on the number of athletes that take part in the program will depend on the number of teams that we are able to put together. What is the cost for ASP? There is a $50 Registration fee that will be required to be paid the day of evaluations along with a $30 USASF Membership Fee that will be paid directly to USASF. Monthly tuition for ASP teams will be $65. A detailed cost sheet will be given out at the evaluations for ASP teams.

How often will ASP practice? ASP will practice once a week, for two hours each practice beginning the week of October 2nd (practices will most likely be on Tues OR Thur) How many competitions will the ASP team(s) attend? We plan on attending 3 local competitions this season. Uniforms GAC will provide a uniform for you to “rent” for your child for the season at the cost of $75. This way if you choose to transition into our traditional program in the future or they grow out of it, you will not be left with a uniform you cannot use. Practice wear GAC will have practice wear available (the same as our traditional AS teams) for purchase however ASP teams will only be required to have a “competition day shirt”. The other items will be available for purchase for anyone interested.
