The Foundation:
The foundation of achieving higher yields is understanding the underlying fertility in your fields. SmartYield™ starts here, utilizing comprehensive GPS Soil Sampling data and your yield info. Together we’ll build VR fertilizer recs that are tailored to each field. We don’t use a secretive, formula to achieve this; instead we’ll sit beside you to come up with the solution because we know that you know more about your fields than any computer program.
Data Analytics:
We’ll build on this foundation to create VR planting recs and analyze each field’s performance. Together we’ll build Management Zones across your operation-field by field. This enables us to push fertility and plant population in the best areas (A Zones) of your field and scale back inputs in the highly variable yielding areas (C Zones) to maximize your yield potential. Data Analytics allows us to check our work at harvest, benchmark yield and management practices, and get better for next year.

Even the best laid plans can fall apart if your equipment isn’t performing at its best. SmartYield™’s Machine Optimization option provides pre-planting and pre-harvest equipment calibration and service to ensure your machines are running optimally.
Soil Sampling You have to know where you are to get where you’re going. That’s why soil sampling is the foundation of SmartYield™. After we analyze and understand your soil test levels we’ll start building the VR nutrient Recs tailored for each field.
Management Zones and VR Planting Yield potential across and within fields is not uniform. Utilizing your historical yield, we’ll build Management Zones within your field. Understanding these zones leads us in creating VR Planting Recs for managing inputs within each field. We’ll push fertility and plant populations in A Zones. Manage B Zones at your normal levels and scale back inputs appropriately in C Zones.
Learning Blocks™ Learning Blocks™ are small (1-2 acre), repeatable trials within your field. We can test different plant populations, nutrient application rates, and much more. Learning Blocks™ allow us to conduct small, low-risk trials that can be analyzed. These Learning Blocks™ reports give us actionable information from YOUR field, not a research farm hundreds of miles away.
Data Analytics Do you know whether you did the right thing this year? Data Analytics helps us answer that and many other questions. Other programs can make a VR Planting Rec, but where are they at harvest to check their work? We think harvest is the most important time of the year, where we learn how nutrient and management decisions affected yield.
