LOCATION: Guatemala City, Guatemala
COST: The trip should not cost more than $1,300 depending on airfare.
FUNDRAISER OPPORTUNITIES: - February 14 5-10pm Valentine’s Day Babysitting at Alive
- April 22 Auction (this takes a lot of work and time and we will need all hands on deck the day of as well as the weeks leading up.) This is by far our biggest money maker so clear your schedule NOW!
- Writing support letters to friends and family
- Working at Bid to Benefit Youth for $10 an hour

The Center for Transforming Mission (CTM) Guatemala is a faith-based organization that exists to contribute to the social and spiritual renewal of Guatemala. After over a decade of serving with the poor in urban Guatemala City, CTM is best understood when referred to as a loom supporting grassroots leader’s callings. The grassroots leaders are artists, who are beautifully weaving the transforming grace of the Gospel into their difficult contexts. This “loom” provides the framework in which this can happen and is framed by three prongs, each one representing one of CTM’s areas of commitment to supporting leaders grow in their vocation. Through its three pronged approach, CTM is committed to Christ centered urban renewal through helping students, leaders, organizations, and ministries move from good intentions to effective outcomes. Purpose of Zone 3’s transformational strategy: We want to develop a new generation of leaders who want to transform their community. We do that through leadership training, discipleship, and youth leadership development. We want the communities in zone 3 of Guatemala City to be the protagonists of their own transformation.
Our Discipleship and Leadership Development Program - Helps the individual to develop the skills needed for decision-making and problem solving. - Increases confidence and assertiveness in the individual through the process of personal development. - Develops conflict resolution skills. - Increases the level of satisfaction in one’s life. - Develops a sense of local sustainability and development. - Dissipates personal fears in regards of ignorance and mistrust.
