GWS GIANTS Junior Club Membership Promotion 2017 TERMS AND CONDITIONS 1. All Junior AFL Clubs located in the ACT and Southern NSW and their club participants that are serviced by the Western Sydney Football Club. 2. Promotion is valid for all ACT and Southern NSW junior clubs and their participants between Monday 6 February, 2017 and Monday 17 July, 2017. 3. The winning club will be determined on Thursday 20 July, 2017 at 10am at the GWS GIANTS Learning Life Centre, 1 Olympic Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW 2127. 4. Junior AFL Clubs serviced by the Western Sydney Football Club whose participant’s purchase the most GWS GIANTS memberships by the competition close date will win. The winner will be determined based on the percentage of registered junior club players that become members of the Western Sydney Football Club. 5. All Junior AFL Clubs participants serviced by the Western Sydney Football Club who purchases a GWS GIANTS membership as part of this promotion by the competition close date will go into a draw. The winner will be determined at random and need to have added their junior club name into their GWS GIANTS membership account at the time of signing up, or advised GWS GIANTS staff of their junior club name to have it added to their account. 6. Prizes are available for the winning club and the winning individual. 7. The winning club President and winning individual will both be advised by Midday Thursday 20 July, 2017 by email. 8. Should the club President or individual winner not acknowledge the email within 24 hours, a phone call will be made by 3pm Friday 21 July, 2017 to advise them of the outcome of the promotion. 9. The prize for the winning club includes the following: the opportunity for up to 30 people from the club to form part of the guard of honour as the GIANTS players run out for the GWS GIANTS v Melbourne game on Saturday 5 August at Manuka. The prize will also include a club fundraising pack (valued at $300). 10. It is up to the winning club to decide which 30 people will be chosen for the guard of honour, but at least 50% of the guard of honour will need to be current 2017 GWS GIANTS members. The club will need to advise the GWS GIANTS of the 30 names by close of business Monday 31 July, 2017. The GWS GIANTS will provide 30 general admission tickets for the 30 names submitted, the GWS GIANTS will email these e-tickets by Tuesday 1 August, 2017. 11. The prize for the winning individual is two 2017 Toyota AFL Grand Final tickets (valued at $800). Flights and accommodation are not included in this prize. 12. Prizes, or any unused portion of a prize, are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash.
13. If any prize (or part of any prize) is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that part of the prize) with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority. 14. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits excludes or modifies or purports to limit, exclude or modify the statutory consumer guarantees as provided under the Competition and Consumer Act, as well as any other implied warranties under the ASIC Act or similar consumer protection laws in the States and Territories of Australia (“Non-Excludable Guarantees”). Except for any liability that cannot by law be excluded, including the NonExcludable Guarantees, the Promoter and the AFL (including their respective officers, employees and agents) exclude all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury or death; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the promotion or accepting or using the prize. 15. Once prizes have left the Promoter's premises, the Promoter and their associated agencies take no responsibility for prizes damaged, delayed or lost in transit. 16. Should the Junior AFL Club or participants contact details change during the promotional period, it is their responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter. 17. Prizes and participation in the competition are subject to any conditions imposed by the supplier or organiser of the prizes, as applicable. 18. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. Where the operation of this competition results in, for GST purposes, supplies being made for non-monetary consideration, Eligible Entrants agree to follow the Australian Taxation Office’s stated view that where the parties are at arm’s length, goods and services exchanged are of equal GST inclusive market values. 19. All personal information you provide will be used by the GWS GIANTS and the AFL in accordance with our Privacy Policy available at http://www.gwsgiants.com.au/privacy and may be disclosed by the GWS GIANTS or AFL in accordance with the Privacy Policy (including for promotional and marketing purposes).
