Hagerman Announces Retirement Board Appoints Lorenz New President/CEO After 35 years at the helm of Linn Area Credit Union, President/CEO Jim Hagerman has announced his retirement. His last official day will be January 4, 2016. Jim notified the Board of Directors of his upcoming retirement over a year ago giving them the opportunity to carefully consider their alternatives in appointing a new President/CEO. Chairman of the Board Howard Rattner stated, “Linn Area Credit Union was fortunate to have a great leader in Jim Hagerman. He has grown the credit union from a tiny financial institution with just 5 employees, 2,500 members and $2.5 million in assets to the 9th largest credit union in Iowa with 100 employees, over 24,000 members and assets of about $360 million. We are grateful for all of the hard work and dedication Jim has shown over the past 35 years. He has been instrumental in making the credit union the success and benefit to its members that it is today.” When asked about the Board’s decision to hire Jenny Lorenz to fill Jim’s shoes, Rattner responded, “Hiring Jenny Lorenz was a unanimous choice. Jenny has been Jim’s second in command for nearly 30 years and has been involved in every big decision Linn Area Credit Union has made in that time. She is driven and dedicated to continuing the success that Linn Area Credit Union has experienced. We are fortunate to have someone of her experience and longevity to assume the President/CEO’s role.”
