WHAT YOU’LL LEARN Pivot Point has found that the best way to learn is in logical steps. That is why each program is broken into three parts.... Concept, System and Classics. CONCEPTS When you participate in the fabulous Pivot Point Package at Brisbane School and Gold Coast Schools of Hairdressing you’ll first study the concepts. You’ll learn the basic principles and terminology of hair design. In the process you’ll discover why the fundamentals are so important. SYSTEM The Concepts are only the first step. Next you’ll begin to build on these by learning an enormous range of techniques that will serve you well in any situation you are likely to come across in your career. This part is called the ‘System’. CLASSICS Every style is based on one of the classic cuts. By combining a classic cut with one of the techniques you can create any style imaginable or possible. Learning these ‘Classics’ will enable you to create the simplest cuts, or achieve the latest fashion styles. The course is competency based, so as soon as you can demonstrate the required competency you can progress to the next stage. This means you can complete the course sooner by demonstrating that you have achieved competency in each unit. Alternatively, if you need to, you can take a little longer and master the skills at your own pace. COURSE INFORMATION Certificate II in Hairdressing - Standard Package Course duration: 1 year (International Students note: CRICOS registered for 52 week s) Courses start towards the end of January, March, May, July, September, and November. This Nationally Recognised Training Package is designed to give you quality training to prepare you for a career in hairdressing. It will provide you with the knowledge, skills and standards to work in a professional capacity in the hairdressing industry. At the completion of this course you will have your Certificate III in Hairdressing. SCHOOL-BASED PART-TIME APPRENTICESHIP Certificate III in Hairdressing WRH30106 If you’re a secondary student and you’ve managed to get a part time apprenticeship then you’ll be able to attend Brisbane or the Gold Coast Schools of Hairdressing one day a week, work in the salon one day per week and attend school for the other three days per week. The government pays for most of this course. You must be an Australian Resident to enrol.
APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING Certificate III in Hairdressing WRH30106 You must be an Australian Resident and an indentured apprentice working in a ssualon to enrol in this program. Apprentices can attend by Day Release or Block Training. The Government funds apprenticeship training. Students pay small student and service fees. WHAT YOU’LL LEARN Pivot Point has found that the best way to learn is in logical steps. That is why each program is broken into three parts.... Concept, System and Classics. CONCEPTS When you participate in the fabulous Pivot Point Package at Brisbane School and Gold Coast Schools of Hairdressing you’ll first study the concepts. You’ll learn the basic principles and terminology of hair design. In the process you’ll discover why the fundamentals are so important. SYSTEM The Concepts are only the first step. Next you’ll begin to build on these by learning an enormous range of techniques that will serve you well in any situation you are likely to come across in your career. This part is called the ‘System’. CLASSICS Every style is based on one of the classic cuts. By combining a classic cut with one of the techniques you can create any style imaginable or possible. Learning these ‘Classics’ will enable you to create the simplest cuts, or achieve the latest fashion styles. The course is competency based, so as soon as you can demonstrate the required competency you can progress to the next stage. This means you can complete the course sooner by demonstrating that you have achieved competency in each unit. Alternatively, if you need to, you can take a little longer and master the skills at your own pace. The Pivot Point System liberates your creative powers and ensures your career is based on a rock solid foundation.
COURSE INFORMATION Certificate II in Hairdressing - Standard Package Course duration: 1 year (International Students note: CRICOS registered for 52 week s) Courses start towards the end of January, March, May, July, September, and November. This Nationally Recognised Training Package is designed to give you quality training to prepare you for a career in hairdressing. It will provide you with the knowledge, skills and standards to work in a professional capacity in the hairdressing industry. At the completion of this course you will have your Certificate III in Hairdressing. You also get all the other great benefits that studying at Brisbane and Gold Coast School of Hairdressing offers including so much more hands on experience, our fabulous locations, and of course our professional and highly experienced teaching staff. This course includes hair-goods and workbooks to the value of $1500. You must have successfully completed the equivalent of Queensland’s Year 10 of high school or be a mature age student to commence this course. If you pay in full, in advance, we’ll give you a discount. This package includes everything you’ll need. On successful completion of all off-the-job training you’ll receive your Nationally Recognised Certificate III in Hairdressing. SCHOOL-BASED PART-TIME APPRENTICESHIP Certificate III in Hairdressing WRH30106 If you’re a secondary student and you’ve managed to get a part time apprenticeship then you’ll be able to attend Brisbane or the Gold Coast Schools of Hairdressing one day a week, work in the salon one day per week and attend school for the other three days per week. The government pays for most of this course. You must be an Australian Resident to enrol.
APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING Certificate III in Hairdressing WRH30106 You must be an Australian Resident and an indentured apprentice working in a ssualon to enrol in this program. Apprentices can attend by Day Release or Block Training. The Government funds apprenticeship training. Students pay small student and service fees.
