Halfway Houses Primary School Dear Parents/Carers of Year 5 and 6, As a school we realise that you may want to encourage your children to be independent and to walk to and from school on their own. If this is the case we want to ensure that we know that it is your wish for them to walk from school on their own and not to be met by an appropriate adult. So we can ensure the safety of each child we would ask if you could complete the slip below indicating if it is your preference for your child to be met by an adult at the end of the school day or for them to walk home alone. If you do indicate that an adult will meet your child, we will keep them with their teacher for a short while before getting them to sit in the main lobby near the school office where they can be supervised until they are collected. We would be grateful if you would return the slip as soon as possible. Please complete and return the slip below even if you gave permission for your child to walk home last year. This will ensure that our records are completely up to date.
