HALTER 'CLASSIC' CLASSES The Arabian Horse Association of Arizona has implemented new rules for the paddock and entry area for all Halter classes. These rules will be strictly followed. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, one person per class will be designated to assist with the entry of the Halter classes. Only that person will be allowed to use any sort of device to enhance the performance of the Halter horses. The designated person will be provided a whip with appendages that can be used to enhance the Halter horses in the paddock area. No other devices will be allowed. No one, including the designated person, will be allowed to hit or use any other objects, such as trash cans, walls, plastic signs, etc. to make additional noise. Additionally, no one will be permitted to use plastic or paper bags of any type or size in assisting with entrance into the Halter arena. Should this rule/policy be violated, the person violating the rule and the handler and/or trainer associated with the person violating the rule can be subject to sanctions. The gate will close when final horse has entered. All horses will be called to walk, horses will be judged at the walk. Upon completion of walk Judges will then begin individual judging of horses. Only the next horse on deck is allowed to school. After all horses have been presented in center ring there will be a 5 minute final review of the horses on the rail (it is not mandatory that the judges do a final review). See general conduct according to USEF rules. Because the Arabian Scoring System is not utilized, the Classic Classes will not be recorded by AHA. As such, placing in halter classes not using the Arabian Scoring System will not earn points for any AHA programs (i.e.: Qualification Points, Sweepstakes Points, Achievements Award Points, etc). All halter classes will be held using the Scottsdale Comparative Scoring system using Three Judges, Five-Judges or the Arabian Breeders World Cup Scoring System (see individual sections for scoring system used).
First and second place winners in classes 1140, 1142, 1144, 1156 & 1158 must show or forfeit all prize money
1169 Scottsdale Arabian Classic Produce of Dam
In the Produce of Dam class each entry shall be comprised of at least two horses, entered under the name of the sire, one handler per horse. To be shown and judged under the same provisions as Classic Classes, except a walk or trot into the arena is optional. Horses will be lined up head to tail. Emphasis is to be placed upon reproductive likeness, uniformity, quality of breed characteristics, conformation and similarity. Ribbons to each horse comprising an entry which receives an award. Entry Fee $200 (one fee Paid for all horses in one entry)

ADMISSION TO RING - There will be an assigned order of go in all Halter classes. The Order of go shall be determined and posted by the birth date of each horse, from oldest to youngest. The prescribed order of go must be strictly followed. Horses that have missed entering the arena in the assigned order will be led in by the steward to their assigned order of go position on the rail. It is the exhibitor’s/handler’s responsibility to enter the arena in the posted order of go.

In Get of Sire each entry shall be comprised of at least two horses, entered under the name of the sire, one handler per horse. To be shown and judged under the same provisions as Classic Classes, except a walk or trot into the arena is optional. Horses will be lined up head to tail. Emphasis is to be placed upon reproductive likeness, uniformity, quality of breed characteristics, conformation and similarity. Ribbons to each horse comprising an entry which receives an award. The International classes are designed to create a division for 'international-style judging'. These classes will utilize five (5) judges. Entries in the International Arabian Breeders Classic classes can be cross entered with the Scottsdale Arabian Classic classes and the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Classes. These classes will use the Arabian Breeders World Cup Score Card with an adapted class procedure. For full details on class procedure see http://scottsdaleshow.com/shows-events/scoringsystem-class-procedures MULTIPLE HORSES PER HANDLER: Handlers are allowed to exhibit multiple horses per class in all International Halter Breeding classes. Excluded are all halter classes that do not have International in the title, where a horse must be handled and shown in the entire class by one and the same person. RUNNER FOR ENTRANCE AT THE TROT: A runner may be used in all International Halter Breeding classes for the entrance at the Trot. A runner will be classified as an exhibitor. An Exhibitor is any person who holds; walks and/or trots a horse in the competition arena. Every Exhibitor is required to sign an entry blank and must be a USEF member of pay a Show Pass Fee. Exhibitors who do not have a current valid USEF cards on file in the show office prior to their class will be assessed a $100 fine and will be disqualified from the class.

The Straight Egyptian Classes are open to any horse whose pedigree is straight Egyptian must be registered or eligible by pedigree for registration by the Arabian Horse Registry of America AND Trace in every line of its pedigree to horses born in Arabia Deserta; AND Trace in every line of its pedigree to a horse which falls within one or more of the following categories: (a) owned or bred by Abbas Pasha I or Ali Pasha Sherif; (b) used to create and maintain the Royal Agricultural Society(RAS) / Egyptian Agricultural Organization (EAO) breeding programs, with the exclusion of Registan and Sharkasi and their lineal descendants; (c) a horse which was a lineal ancestor of a horse described in (a) or (b) above; OR (d) other than those excluded above, a horse conceived and born in a private stud program in Egypt and imported directly to the United States and registered by the Arabian Horse Registry of America prior to the extension of the EAO's supervision to private Egyptian stud programs as reflected in Volume 4 of the EAO's Stud Book. HALTER 'CLASSIC' CLASSES The Arabian Horse Association of Arizona has implemented new rules for the paddock and entry area for all Halter classes. These rules will be strictly followed. EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY, one person per class will be designated to assist with the entry of the Halter classes. Only that person will be allowed to use any sort of device to enhance the performance of the Halter horses. The designated person will be provided a whip with appendages that can be used to enhance the Halter horses in the paddock area. No other devices will be allowed. No one, including the designated person, will be allowed to hit or use any other objects, such as trash cans, walls, plastic signs, etc. to make additional noise. Additionally, no one will be permitted to use plastic or paper bags of any type or size in assisting with entrance into the Halter arena. Should this rule/policy be violated, the person violating the rule and the handler and/or trainer associated with the person violating the rule can be subject to sanctions. The gate will close when final horse has entered. All horses will be called to walk, horses will be judged at the walk. Upon completion of walk Judges will then begin individual judging of horses. Only the next horse on deck is allowed to school. After all horses have been presented in center ring there will be a 5 minute final review of the horses on the rail (it is not mandatory that the judges do a final review). See general conduct according to USEF rules. Because the Arabian Scoring System is not utilized, the Classic Classes will not be recorded by AHA. As such, placing in halter classes not using the Arabian Scoring System will not earn points for any AHA programs (i.e.: Qualification Points, Sweepstakes Points, Achievements Award Points, etc). All halter classes will be held using the Scottsdale Comparative Scoring system using Three Judges, Five-Judges or the Arabian Breeders World Cup Scoring System (see individual sections for scoring system used).

1169 Scottsdale Arabian Classic Produce of Dam
In the Produce of Dam class each entry shall be comprised of at least two horses, entered under the name of the sire, one handler per horse. To be shown and judged under the same provisions as Classic Classes, except a walk or trot into the arena is optional. Horses will be lined up head to tail. Emphasis is to be placed upon reproductive likeness, uniformity, quality of breed characteristics, conformation and similarity. Ribbons to each horse comprising an entry which receives an award. ADMISSION TO RING - There will be an assigned order of go in all Halter classes. The Order of go shall be determined and posted by the birth date of each horse, from oldest to youngest. The prescribed order of go must be strictly followed. Horses that have missed entering the arena in the assigned order will be led in by the steward to their assigned order of go position on the rail. It is the exhibitor’s/handler’s responsibility to enter the arena in the posted order of go.

INTERNATIONAL ARABIAN DIVISION

The International classes are designed to create a division for 'international-style judging'. These classes will utilize five (5) judges. Entries in the International Arabian Breeders Classic classes can be cross entered with the Scottsdale Arabian Classic classes and the Scottsdale Signature Stallion Classes. These classes will use the Arabian Breeders World Cup Score Card with an adapted class procedure. For full details on class procedure see http://scottsdaleshow.com/shows-events/scoringsystem-class-procedures MULTIPLE HORSES PER HANDLER: Handlers are allowed to exhibit multiple horses per class in all International Halter Breeding classes. Excluded are all halter classes that do not have International in the title, where a horse must be handled and shown in the entire class by one and the same person. RUNNER FOR ENTRANCE AT THE TROT: A runner may be used in all International Halter Breeding classes for the entrance at the Trot. A runner will be classified as an exhibitor. An Exhibitor is any person who holds; walks and/or trots a horse in the competition arena. Every Exhibitor is required to sign an entry blank and must be a USEF member of pay a Show Pass Fee. Exhibitors who do not have a current valid USEF cards on file in the show office prior to their class will be assessed a $100 fine and will be disqualified from the class.

The Straight Egyptian Classes are open to any horse whose pedigree is straight Egyptian must be registered or eligible by pedigree for registration by the Arabian Horse Registry of America AND Trace in every line of its pedigree to horses born in Arabia Deserta; AND Trace in every line of its pedigree to a horse which falls within one or more of the following categories: (a) owned or bred by Abbas Pasha I or Ali Pasha Sherif; (b) used to create and maintain the Royal Agricultural Society(RAS) / Egyptian Agricultural Organization (EAO) breeding programs, with the exclusion of Registan and Sharkasi and their lineal descendants; (c) a horse which was a lineal ancestor of a horse described in (a) or (b) above; OR (d) other than those excluded above, a horse conceived and born in a private stud program in Egypt and imported directly to the United States and registered by the Arabian Horse Registry of America prior to the extension of the EAO's supervision to private Egyptian stud programs as reflected in Volume 4 of the EAO's Stud Book. If you are unsure, please submit an inquiry and a verification of your horses eligibility will be reviewed by the Show Committee otherwise it will be your responsibility to verify eligibility.
